An After Church Celebration
Everyone is welcome to join us for cake after the service to say goodbye to our missionaries from Papua New Guinea; the Lehman family.
Student Ministries (grades 6-12) will be meeting tonight. Please come if you are a middle schooler, high schooler, or parent. We will meet in the worship center at 6:00pm for fellowship, teaching, and games. Contact Omri Miles with any questions (firstname.lastname@example.org).
5:00pm Service: August 19
The weekend of the Women’s Retreat, our Sunday Service will be at 5:00pm. Next Generation classes will take place as usual during the service.
Smallgroups are the best way to participate in the life of Grace Bible Church. If you are not in a smallgroup, you can see the InfoTable for more information, or mark your interest on a comment card.
NGM Teachers Needed
Next Generation Ministries is in need of more people to help serve on Sunday mornings, on a 3 or 4 week rotation. If you are interested, please pick up an application at the InfoTable or mark your interest on a comment card.
Grace Bible Church is now housing a food pantry on campus. The food pantry is intended to help meet benevolence needs of those within our church body as well as, at times, those outside of our church. If you are in need or would like more information about the food pantry please contact Jeff Hantla (480.406.9219), the deacon who oversees our benevolence needs.
Arrive Early for Coffee and Fellowship
Please join us for coffee at our CoffeeTable, next to BookTable. We serve iced and hot coffee from 9:00am-9:45am and after the service. Please make a practice of coming to church early to enjoy coffee and fellowship and browse the books. You will have plenty of time to be in the service early to begin to prepare your heart. If you are interested in serving at the CoffeeTable ministry, please contact Omri Miles (email@example.com).
Helping Hands is our ministry that provides meals when those in our body are in a time of need. The purpose of this ministry is to practically and physically live out the “one anothers” of the Bible: caring for one another and bearing one another’s burdens. Whenever there is a need, an email goes out to all who are on the list, and an online signup is made available. If you would like to be added to this ministry, please contact the ministry (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Book of the Month
This month’s book of the month is The Truth War by John MacArthur ($13). Since there is an ever-present call to defend the single body of Christian teaching that God has entrusted to the church, the BookTable ministry heartily recommends this helpful resource to you. The Truth War offers helpful reminders of the importance of discerning the truth from every form of error, whether overt or subtle. See the BookTable servants for the accompanying reading guide with a suggested one-month reading plan.
Today’s Next Generation Ministries lesson: Esther 1:1-10:3; God Uses Esther to Protect His People
Next week’s lesson: Daniel 2:1-49; God Uses Daniel to Interpret the King’s Dream
