New to GBC

Thank you for taking the time to find out who Grace Bible Church is and what we believe in. Aligning yourself with a church is perhaps one of the most important decisions you will ever make. We want the process of knowing who we are to be as easy as possible and as transparent as possible.

If there is a reason that GBC isn’t the right church for you, we want you to know that now. Likewise, we want to remove as many questions and assumptions as we can. If there are any questions left unanswered, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sundays

The service starts at 10:00, but come early for coffee and fellowship starting at 9:15 until 9:45. We are located at the northwest corner of Priest Dr. and Elliot Rd. at 7440 S Priest Dr. | Tempe, AZ 85283.

Our single Sunday service starts with worship through music and a reading from the Bible. Each week we invite all believers to take the Lord’s Supper (communion) together. This is followed by a sermon, where one of our pastors preaches expositionally, verse-by-verse through a text of the Bible. Dress is informal.

Classes

In order to equip the church to better know God and His Word, we offer various courses in addition to our Sunday service and smallgroups. Courses are designed to supplement these. Participation on Sunday mornings and in smallgroups are the priority, but the elder’s encourage all in the body to take advantage of our classes, especially BUILD & Wellspring.

Smallgroups

Smallgroups are an incredibly important part of life at Grace Bible Church. The expectation for all regular attenders and members is that you would get into a smallgroup sooner than later. Please prioritize smallgroups; if you have to decide between smallgroup and another equipping ministry, choose smallgroups. So much of the “one-anothers” that Christians live have to happen as we live together in community. By having most everybody in GBC in smallgroups, elder care can more effectively be extended to the whole church, people are better cared for and better able to love and care for others. Contact us to find a smallgroup that will work best for you.

BUILD/Wellspring

BUILD and Wellspring are intended for every man and woman at GBC to introduce the foundational convictions that the elders desire every believer in the church to embrace.  If you have not taken BUILD or Wellspring yet, please make this a priority. BUILD and Wellspring begin each September.

Equipping Hour

Equipping Hour is a set of modular classes, each 6 weeks long, designed to equip believers in a wide variety of topics including Bible, counseling, membership, theology, and many more.  Equipping Hour will begin again in September of 2017.

Kids at GBC

We offer childcare for the entire service for infants through age 2. All other children through sixth grade participate with the adults in the first portion of the service (music and Lord’s Supper), then go to their own classes during the sermon where they will be taught from God’s Word with a focus on the gospel. We call these courses, Next Generation Ministries as they are designed not merely to babysit, but to train up a faithful next generation.

Those in junior high and high school remain in the main service in the morning, and have their own Student Ministries gathering Sunday evening on campus.

Membership

We encourage regular attenders of GBC to pursue formal membership as soon as they are able. Membership is an important way to demonstrate commitment to the church, affirmation of our doctrine, and submission to the leadership. The best way to discover if membership is for you is to sign up for the membership class. Email us to let us know you’re interested in taking the next course

Ministries

The ministries at Grace Bible Church exist to further our gospel mission by equipping the church to better draw in the lost, build up our body, and be sent out into the world with the good news of the gospel.

What We Believe

Our foundational doctrinal commitments are summarized in our Doctrinal Statement. Our Biblical Convictions provide more detail on specific areas of belief and practice, particularly those that define and distinguish us.
