All parents of current 5th graders are invited to meet with Jacob Hantla for a Student Ministries information meeting on Sunday, April 12th today after service at 12pm in the Matt Dodd room.

April’s book of the month is “The Art of Divine Contentment” by Thomas Watson. In The Art of Divine Contentment, Watsons focus is on Philippians 4:11 where Paul says he has learned to be content in any situation. How is it possible for us when life is painful and disappointing? Our discontent is a sin when we grumble against God and accuse Him of injustice and cruelty. Watson provides encouragement and hope as he points us to the only way of gaining true contentment. He explains the nature of this contentment and gives us motives to seek it and instructions to obtain it. By frequently considering God’s sovereignty, love, and grace, we can learn to be more content in all circumstances.
