The Master’s University (a private Christian university in California) has established a unique relationship with Grace Bible Church, recognizing an opportunity to help theologically like-minded students attend TMU. If you are interested in helping students attend undergraduate programs at The Master’s University, you can give to this need by indicating your desire on your financial gift to GBC by including the note “GBC TMU Scholarship Fund”. I have found Consider the Lilies to be one of the most practically helpful books on anxiety and God’s character I have read. Jonny Ardavanis gives us more than good teaching about anxiety—he helps us use our anxiety as a call to consider who God is and trust Him. God is good, He is in control, and if we belong to Christ, we are His children, purchased and adopted in love at the immeasurable cost of His Son’s death on the cross. When Jesus tells us to “consider the lilies”, He directs us to the character of the Father who cares for them—and how much more will He care for His children? The solution to our anxiety is faith in our trustworthy God, and the best time to prepare for trials is before they come. I really want everyone at GBC to read this book in October. Read it with your Bible open, and consider reading it with a spouse, child, or friend. As we read together, may Grace Bible Church grow in faith, godliness, and peaceful trust in our good and faithful God. – Jacob Hantla
