Building Fund
As GBC grows, so does the need to maintain, update, and even expand our facilities. We are currently considering a special building project that includes updating the worship center, finishing the interior warehouse area and expanding the facility to include a new larger classroom and outdoor courtyard area. April’s book of the month is “The Art of Divine Contentment” by Thomas Watson. In The Art of Divine Contentment, Watsons focus is on Philippians 4:11 where Paul says he has learned to be content in any situation. How is it possible for us when life is painful and disappointing? Our discontent is a sin when we grumble against God and accuse Him of injustice and cruelty. Watson provides encouragement and hope as he points us to the only way of gaining true contentment. He explains the nature of this contentment and gives us motives to seek it and instructions to obtain it. By frequently considering God’s sovereignty, love, and grace, we can learn to be more content in all circumstances.
