Book of the Month
The book of the month for April is The Cross He Bore by Frederick Leahy. Leahy writes, “As the cross is central in God’s eternal decrees, and in the actual redemption of His people, so it should be central in the thinking and experience of the individual Christian. It is my conviction and at times sad experience, that as the cross goes out of focus in the Christian’s life, coldness, and backsliding set in.” For this reason, please purchase and read it this month. Pick up a copy at the book table for $9.

Restoration and Church Discipline (Matthew 18:15-17)
Jesus directs the church to patiently and gently pursue its sinning believers that they may be won back from their sin. In cases where the professing Christian refuses to repent of sin, Jesus directs the church to remove the unrepentant one from the church family and fellowship. GBC practices church discipline as prescribed by its bylaws in accordance with Matthew 18:15-17. Regular attendance at GBC is considered affirmation of this biblical practice. If you have any questions regarding church discipline please listen to our sermon titled “The Heart of Christ for our Holiness” located here. The elders are also available to answer any questions.
