Open Elder Meeting There will be an open elder meeting Sunday, May 4, after the service. Please join the elders as they discuss the budget, build out, future training of men, and more.

Counseling Training Association of Certified Biblical Counselors exists to equip you to minister the Bible faithfully to those around you who are in need of God’s truth. ACBC offers a comprehensive biblical counseling certification program that is rigorous but attainable. NGM Teachers Needed Next Generation Ministries is in need of more people to serve on Sunday mornings, on a 4-week rotation. If you are interested, please pick up an application at the info table, mark your interest on a comment card, or reach out to [email protected].

Restoration and Church Discipline Jesus directs the church to patiently and gently pursue its sinning believers that they may be won back from their sin. In cases where the professing Christian refuses to repent of sin, Jesus directs the church to remove the unrepentant one from the church family and fellowship. GBC practices church discipline as prescribed by its bylaws in accordance with Matt. 18:15-17, Titus 3:10, Rom. 16:17, 1 Cor. 5:9-13, and 2 Thess. 3:14. Regular attendance at GBC is considered affirmation of this biblical practice. If you have any questions regarding church discipline, please listen to our sermon titled “Your Role in Church Discipline,” located here. The elders are also available to answer any questions.

Book of the Month April’s book of the month, If You Bite and Devour One Another by Alexander Strauch, is one of the most personally impactful books I have ever read. God intends conflict as a test of our faith to demonstrate the reality of His Spirit’s presence in us and the remarkable love that He has put in our hearts. The time you spend slowly, prayerfully reading this book with your Bible open and your heart softened will bear incredible fruit in your life and our church, producing fruit that will redound to God’s glory on into eternity.
