Music Devotion by Mick Pagel

Ephesians 1:18-20
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms…

Paul is praying here for the believers in the church at Ephesus. He is praying a prayer that I pray for myself and for all of you this week, that our hearts may be enlightened to this great hope that we have as well as the riches of God’s glorious inheritance in us and his unfathomable power. We possess a treasure so rich, it puts all that this world has to offer to shame. Solomon’s riches would appear as a pile of old food crumbs in comparison with the treasure God has stored up for us. We have this treasure of eternal life in Christ and it is eternal, imperishable, and secured in heaven for us who have fled to Jesus for salvation by His grace. Let us rejoice in this!

How Rich A Treasure We Possess
Nothing But the Blood of Jesus
He Will Hold Me Fast
Shine Into Our Night
