Music for June 21

Sam Pagel June 15, 2015

Philippians 1:20-21
… it is my eager expectation and hope ithat I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Paul pens the words above while imprisoned in Rome. Amidst uncertainly and chains Paul remains concerned with one thing: the glory of Jesus. Paul’s hope is that whether by life or death, Christ would be honored through his body. These words can only truly emanate from the heart of one who has surrendered all to Christ. These hopes can only be produced by one who has confidently said, all I have is Christ. May we hope in this same hope. May we passionately praise Jesus, the one who became our perfect sacrifice to draw us near to Him!

Lead On, O King Eternal
Be Thou My Vision
Jesus, Thank You
All I Have is Christ

by grace,
