Music for Christmas Eve (Dec 24)

Sam Pagel December 21, 2014

Luke 1:30-33
The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
“He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;
and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”

The greatest event in human history had been prophesied about and anticipated for generations. Finally, the time had come for Jesus to come to this earth and be born of a virgin. Men came from afar to bring gifts. Angels sang songs of joy. That baby born in a humble conditions would be more than fulfilled prophecies. His birth was more than just a notable historical event. That baby would be the savior of the world, the only way for sinful humans to be right before God. Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords, was born on that day and now we get to be a part of his kingdom. Praise our glorious king and savior, Jesus Christ our Lord!
