Music Devotion by Mick Pagel

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

Regardless of how many years pass, how old the Bible gets, how many churches come and go, and how many Christians are saved and pass away from this life, from age to age we praise God in song! Christians praise the everlasting God, the God of ages, the God of eternity past, the same God we read about in the Bible, the same God that sits on the throne today. Not only do we praise him with our voices, we play musical instruments to Him to give our words rhythm, volume, and excitement! We desire that everything that has breath praise Him as we do, recounting his mighty deeds, his glory, his sovereignty, and his goodness towards sinners. Whenever we join together in song, may this passage come to mind to invigorate our hearts and voices!
