April 15, 2018 Announcements
Student Ministries (grades 6-12) will be meeting tonight. Please come if you are a middle schooler, high schooler, or parent. We will meet in the worship center at 6:00pm for fellowship, teaching, and games. Contact Josh Kellso with any questions (email@example.com).
Membership/Baptism Service and Grillout
Next Sunday, April 22, will be our Membership/Baptism Sunday, followed by a grillout. As usual, there will be no NGM for kids 3 years old and older. Each smallgroup is responsible for a side; see your smallgroup leader for more information. If you have any questions please contact the church office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you are newer to the church, Discovery Lunch is a great place to enjoy some food, learn more about what the church believes as well as interact with an elder, if you have more specific questions. The next lunch will be hosted at GBC on Sunday, April 29 at 12:00pm-2:00pm. Future Discovery lunches will take place approximately on a monthly basis. Please register online at www.gbcaz.org/events. If you have any questions, please contact the church office (email@example.com).
Luncheon for the 50+ of GBC
On the first Sunday of the month come join a group that meets for lunch at nearby restaurants. For more information, signup for regular reminders, and to RSVP for the next lunch, please contact Dena Burroughs (jendena@Q.com).
NGM Teachers Needed
Next Generation Ministries is in need of more people to help serve on Sunday mornings, on a 3 or 4 week rotation. If you are interested, please pick up an application at the InfoTable or mark your interest on a comment card.
Women’s Retreat (Save the Date)
Save the date for our upcoming Women’s Retreat. The retreat will be August 18-19, 2018. Registration information will be available as we get closer to the date. If you have any questions, please contact Ann Angstead (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Book of the Month
April’s book of the month is Missions: How the Local Church Goes Global ($11) by Andy Johnson. This book will compliment our next sermon in the Philosophy of Ministry series. It is a short book that captures well our church’s approach to missions. If you have any questions or want the reading guide which includes a suggested one-month reading plan for completing the book in April, please see the booktable servants.
Today’s Next Generation Ministries lesson: 1 Samuel 18:1-20:42 – God Gives David a Friend
Next week’s lesson: No NGM today. Children ages 3 and up will remain in the worship service
